Creekside Chateau

Tucked into the scenic landscape of Utah, the 2025 Kaizen Parade House is a triumph of scale, sophistication, and soul. At nearly 12,000 square feet, this striking residence is the largest project to date for the Eclectic Design Co. team —and also one of the most nuanced. Defined by its European-influenced modernism, the home blends the clean lines of Danish design, the refined romance of the French countryside, and the grounded elegance of English architecture. The result? A home that is as opulent as it is livable.

“This was our first time fully leaning into a European-inspired modern style,” Erica shares. “We wanted it to feel elegant, not ornate—warm, but still undeniably sleek.”

Three Showstoppers—and One Personal Favorite

With its impressive footprint, the Kaizen House has no shortage of grand gestures, but three features captivated Parade of Homes guests more than any others: the show-stopping indoor pool, a two-story primary closet that rivals a luxury boutique, and the pièce de résistance—the sculptural lighting fixture floating above the kitchen island.

“It’s my favorite piece in the home,” Erica admits. “It has this jewel-like quality—like a pendant earring that crowns the entire kitchen.”

From Parisian Parlors to Pinterest Boards

Design inspiration came from far and wide. The team referenced everything from the client’s Pinterest saves and Houzz mood boards to real-life European architecture and—unexpectedly—fine jewelry. “You’ll see the influence in the finishes and accessories. Many of the lighting elements and hardware details feel like they were pulled right out of a jewelry box.”

A Home Meant to Be Lived In

While its aesthetic is elevated, the home’s soul is rooted in functionality. Designed for a young family with two children, dogs, and an active social calendar, durability was essential. Every upholstered piece features performance fabric, much of it treated with professional-grade Scotchgard. Washable and high-performance rugs cover nearly every floor, ensuring that beauty never comes at the expense of peace of mind.

Custom Craftsmanship at Every Turn

Custom touches are found throughout, including two fully bespoke furniture pieces: a bold, modern dining table and a sculptural bar-back table anchoring the lower-level family room. Both were designed in collaboration with local artisan Rustic Truth, and complement a suite of custom pillows, cushions, and built-in furniture—including tailored bunk beds and modular sofas. “The more custom a home feels, the more special it becomes,” Erica notes.

The Power of Layering

Softness plays a pivotal role in the home’s ambiance. From layered bedding—duvets paired with quilts—to the careful orchestration of double rugs and tactile pillows, the approach was all about dimension. Erica says, “Layering is what makes a space feel truly lived-in and warm, especially in a home of this size. Softness brings the scale back down to human level.”

Cozying Up the Basement

The basement rec room posed a unique challenge: how to create intimacy within a vast open space. The solution? Smart zoning. A rug anchors the main seating area around the television. A runner defines the kitchenette. A custom bar-height table bridges the two spaces, and an arched carpentry detail marks a serene reading nook. Each vignette has its own purpose, while still belonging to the same visual conversation.

High Design, Low Maintenance

Beyond aesthetics, the Kaizen House exemplifies what it means to build a home around real life. “Designing a house is never just about how it looks,” Erica explains. “It’s about how it lives. We want our clients to feel like their home was made for them—because it was.”

If This Home Could Speak…

Three words we would use to describe the Kaizen Parade House?
Elegant. Modern. European-influenced.
